Brecksville is a city [7] in southern Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The city's population was 13,635 at the 2020 census. [8] It is a suburb of Cleveland and is included in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton Combined statistical area.
The Colson House in Brecksville, Ohio, was built around 1838 by Bolter and Harriet (Waite) Colson. Bolter and Harriet arrived in Brecksville in 1815 from Weymouth, Massachusetts . The house was built in the Gothic Revival farmhouse style on Brecksville Road, a block from the town center.

Brecksville Township. Brecksville Township was formed in 1807 and named for Massachusetts resident John Breck, the owner of significant lands in that vicinity. It included the modern community of Brecksville and part of Broadview Heights.
