Dewa 19 (pronounced in Indonesian as Dewa Sembilan Belas) is an Indonesian rock band from Surabaya, East Java, led by singer-songwriter Ahmad Dhani. Along with God Bless and Slank, they are dubbed as one of the greatest rock bands in the history of Indonesian popular music. The band was formed in 1986.

Ahmad Dhani. Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo (born 26 May 1972), better known as Ahmad Dhani, sometimes Dhani Muhammad Prasetyo, Dhani S. Manaf, or simply Dhani, is an Indonesian musician. He was the frontman of Dewa 19 (together with Once Mekel), Ahmad Band, and also a member of the inter-continental band, the Rock.
He recorded two covers of songs by Dewa 19 in 2021: "Pupus" and "Risalah Hati". [9] In June 2022, Pamungkas released an album titled Birdy. [10] The title track was released as a single, however, it caused controversy when it was revealed to show similarity to Charles Bukowski's poem "The Bluebird". [11]
