Tarrant County College ( TCC) or Tarrant County College District ( TCCD) is a public community college in Tarrant County, Texas. It offers five transferrable degrees as well as degrees and certificates in occupational and technical programs. The district consists of five physical campuses, a virtual campus (TCC Connect) and a centralized office.
The 200-acre (0.81 km 2) campus was located on what came to be known as "Seminary Hill," one of the highest natural elevations in Tarrant County. The first building was named "Fort Worth Hall" in honor of the seminary's new location. In 1925, the Baptist General Convention of Texas passed control of the seminary to the Southern Baptist Convention.
Texas Wesleyan University was founded as Polytechnic College by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, in 1890. A committee under the direction of Bishop Joseph S. Key explored locations for a campus and settled on a site east of Fort Worth donated by area pioneers A.S. Hall, W.D. Hall, and George Tandy.

In 1959, Carroll became an Independent School District. In 1965, Carroll ISD was fully accredited for primary and secondary education. The original Carroll High School opened in 1970.
