September 28, 1973 [2] Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park is a 50-acre (20 ha) state park [3] located at 151 Charlotte Street in Canandaigua, New York, at the north end of Canandaigua Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The house and gardens are open to the public every day, May through October.
Sonnenburg concentration camp was officially closed on 23 April 1934, although in practice it remained open. Since the beginning of the Second World War in 1939 the concentration camp or punishment camp ( Straflager) continued as a concentration and labour camp for alleged anti-German people from the occupied territories until 1945.

Sonneberg in Thuringia, Germany, is the seat of the Sonneberg district. It is in the Franconian south of Thuringia, neighboring its Upper Franconian twin town Neustadt bei Coburg . Sonneberg became known as the "world toy city", and is home to the German Toy Museum [ de] and the Sonneberg observatory, founded in 1925.
