The Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium [5] is a 3,860-seat multi-purpose arena in Utica, New York, with a capacity of 5,700 for concerts.Nicknamed the Aud, it is the home arena of the Utica Comets, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's New Jersey Devils, and Utica City FC of the Major Arena Soccer League.
Here is a quick look at a few of the week's basketball tournaments: Downtown Classic at Nexus Center The 21-game three-day showcase features teams from across the state, 27 of them from Section III.
After the first two tournaments were held in Syracuse and Rochester in 1979 and 1980, [3] [2] the competition moved to Glens Falls through 2010 and then to Albany. [3] In 2015, because the Times Union Center was used for the NCAA Women's Basketball Albany Regional, the Federation tournament was held at SEFCU Arena, the home court of the University at Albany, SUNY basketball teams.
Thomas R. Proctor High School is the only high school in the Utica City School District in Utica, New York. The school was built in 1934 with funds from the Works Progress Administration and Thomas R. Proctor. It opened its doors on September 9, 1936. The school is the only public high school in Utica after Utica Free Academy closed in 1990.
The earliest high school boys' state championship in New York was held in 1921 as a single-class tournament. The tournament continued as a one-classification competition through 1929, then as a two-classification (A and B) competition from 1930 through 1932. After the 1932 tournament, the NYSPHSAA voted against continuing the competition.
The organization was created in 1923, after a predecessor organization called the New York State Public High School Association of Basketball Leagues began in 1921 to bring consistency to eligibility rules and to conduct state tournaments. [2] It consists of 768 member high schools from the state divided into 11 geographic sections. [3]
2019 New York state high school boys basketball championships. The 2019 Federation Tournament of Champions took place at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls on March 22, 23 and 24. Federation championships were awarded in the AA, A and B classifications. [1] Long Island Lutheran in Brookville won the Class AA championship. [2]

Notre Dame was established in 1959 by the Xaverian Brothers. The land that the school was built on was the former location of a military hospital.
