Pakistan Television Corporation ( Urdu: پاکستان ٹیلی وژن نیٹ ورک; reporting name: PTV) is the Pakistani state-owned broadcaster founded by the Government of Pakistan, owned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It was established on 26 November 1964, with a pilot television station established at Lahore. [1]

Peshawar and Quetta centers followed by 1974. Initially under Television Promoters Company (TPC) in 1966, it was upgraded to Pakistan Television Corp in 1967.
It is the country's ninth-most populous city with a population of over 1.2 million people [5] [9] and is federally administered by the Pakistani government as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory. Built as a planned city in the 1960s and established in 1967, it replaced Karachi as Pakistan's national capital.
