Tokes's funeral was held on February 14, 2017, at the Maumee United Methodist Church. She was buried at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio. Tokes's family started the Reagan Tokes Memorial Foundation after her death. The foundation works to reward students with scholarships, teach self-defense, and promote legislation aimed at reducing crime.
