Antigo (/ ˈ æ n t ɪ ˌ ɡ oʊ / AN-tih-goh) [5] is a city in and the county seat of Langlade County, Wisconsin, United States. [6] The population was 8,100 at the 2020 census.Antigo is the center of a farming and lumbering district, and its manufactured products consist principally of lumber, chairs, furniture, sashes, doors and blinds, hubs and spokes, and other wood products.

Biography. Barker was born in Troy, New York in 1857. [1] [2] In 1883 in New York, he married Isabelle C. Webber (1861–1947), with whom he had a son and daughter. In 1910, the family moved to Antigo, Wisconsin. He died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident on September 22, 1943, in Antigo. [1]

He became a dairy products sales-man, painter and decorator, and a tavern operator. [2] During World War II, he served with the United States Navy.
