KIRO-TV (channel 7) is a television station in Seattle, Washington, United States, affiliated with CBS and Telemundo. Owned by Cox Media Group, the station maintains studios on Third Avenue in the Belltown section of Downtown Seattle, and its transmitter is located in the city's Queen Anne neighborhood, adjacent to the station's original studios.
During her tenure at KIRO, she won multiple local Emmy Awards for broadcasting; locals also still remember her for hosting the Big Money Movie in the afternoon. Because of her success in Seattle, Hill was approached to co-anchor the Channel 2 News at CBS owned-and-operated KNXT (now KCBS-TV) in Los Angeles in 1974.
Wayne (Wendel) Cody (September 4, 1936 – June 7, 2002) was an American popular radio and television sportscaster who spent the bulk of his career in Seattle, broadcasting on KIRO and KIRO-TV.
