Borno ( Bengali: বর্ণ) is a free Bengali input method editor developed by Jayed Ahsan. Borno is compatible with the latest version of Unicode and all versions of Windows OS. It was first released on 9 November 2018. Borno supports both fixed and phonetic keyboard layouts. It supports both ANSI and Unicode.
Inputting. Go to Applications > Preferences > Keyboard. Select the keyboard for the language or script you wish to use from the "Available Layouts" frame and then press "Add". Press "Close" to discard the dialogue box. Right click on the main menu on your desktop and select "Add to Panel...". Select "Keyboard Indicator" and click "Add".
