NetZero was launched in October 1998, founded by Ronald T. Burr (original CEO), Stacy Haitsuka, Marwan Zebian and Harold MacKenzie. NetZero grew to 1,000,000 users in six months.
United Online, Inc. was formed in June 2001 by the merger of Internet service providers NetZero and Juno Online Services.
