Amelia Rose Earhart (born January 18, 1983) [2] is an American private pilot and former reporter for NBC affiliate [3] KUSA-TV in Denver, Colorado. In 2013, Earhart started the Fly With Amelia Foundation, which grants flight scholarships to girls aged 16–18.
The station was the first in Denver to operate a news bureau in Washington, D.C., as well as the first Denver station to receive reports from its own radio and television correspondents in Europe and Asia. Channel 7 televised the first kidney transplant in the mid-1960s.
After school, she worked for NBC affiliate KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington. She returned to her hometown to work as the morning news anchor at KMGH-TV Channel 7 News in Denver where she earned an Emmy Award for in-the-field reporting as part of a news team covering the High Park fire in 2012.
