All-American Conference (Football) This football-only conference featured six schools in northeastern Ohio, with some of the strongest gridiron teams in the state. The Broadview Developmental Center was a psychiatric hospital built in 1939 near Broadview Heights, Ohio, United States. Constructed under the Works Progress Administration as part of President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal , it functioned as a Veterans Administration Hospital until 1966 when it was sold to the state of Ohio.
