The Intercollegiate Sri Lanka Education (ISLE) program provides facilities for undergraduate students from United States of America to study in Sri Lanka. Each year, about 20 undergraduates spend five months in Sri Lanka following courses given by members of the Faculty of Arts. This programme also involves an exchange of faculty.
Main Library. The Main Library is located in a seven-story building at the angle of the Senate Building and the Arts Block of the University of Peradeniya. The Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya is one of the eight academic faculties at the university. It is the oldest engineering faculty in Sri Lanka. It offers full-time Undergraduate Courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science of engineering (B.Sc.Eng.), and several postgraduate degrees. [1]
Faculty operates in two locations as main administration buildings are situated in the main campus of University of Peradeniya and a separate sub-campus is located in Mahailuppallama, North Central province of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1947 with an initial batch of 16. Mahailuppallama sub-campus was established in 1968.
All degree programmes consist of 120 credits curricula which have been designed in par with International standards.
