Belaire was founded in 1974. The first principal of Belaire High School was Thomas Holliman. A group of students from all over the Baton Rouge community helped define the school colors (burnt orange, royal blue, and white), and the school mascot. Today, they are still known to be the Belaire Bengals.
The campus is located on 23 acres (93,000 m2) in the Wimbledon subdivision off Perkins Road in South Baton Rouge. The school has a total of 89 classrooms. The Lower School Complex consists of 30 classroom spaces, a library, a music studio and an art studio. The Brown-Holt Chapel Arts Center is the central hub for artistic expression at the school.
Mentorship Academy opened in 2011 after the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board approved its charter in 2010. In March 2017, the school's charter was renewed through 2023. Location. Mentorship Academy is located in downtown Baton Rouge, in a six-story building that once housed a bank. Athletics

History. Broadmoor High School was founded in 1960 and resides on a 30-acre campus centrally located in the historic Broadmoor Neighborhood of south Baton Rouge. BHS offers an array of traditional and honors level courses, including several AP courses and College Dual Enrollment opportunities with Baton Rouge area colleges (BRCC, SU, LSU) for eligible upperclassmen in good academic standing.
