Sunlake High School is a public high school in Pasco County, Florida, located off Sunlake Boulevard and State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes, Florida.It is adjacent to Charles S. Rushe Middle School, both of which opened on August 20, 2007.

Lakeland was incorporated January 1, 1885. The town was founded by Abraham Munn (a resident of Louisville, Kentucky), who purchased 80 acres (320,000 m 2) of land in what is now downtown Lakeland in 1882 and platted the land for the town in 1884. Construction of Land O' Lakes High School began in 1973. [4] Leroy McClain was named principal and began hiring staff. [4] Because of critical overcrowding across the county due to a population jump, classes were held in double sessions at nearby Sanders Memorial Elementary School while the school was being built.
