Mapúa University (Filipino: Pamantasang Mapúa), also known simply as Mapúa or MU, is a private research-oriented non-sectarian university located in Metro Manila, Philippines. The university was founded in 1925 by the first registered Filipino architect, Tomás Mapúa, a graduate of Cornell University in New York, US.
Mapua is described by Statistics New Zealand as a rural settlement. It covers 2.71 km 2 (1.05 sq mi) [1] and had an estimated population of 1,630 as of June 2023, [11] with a population density of 601 people per km 2. Before the 2023 census, it was part of the larger Ruby Bay-Māpua statistical area.
