Deleting email from the Trash removes it from your account. Apps that use POP. Desktop apps, like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Mac Mail, can access AOL Mail using POP. If you are missing items or your settings are not saving correctly, try the solutions listed below. Check your other folders. The first thing place to check if you're missing mail is to check your other folders. If you find missing messages in these folders it's likely they were either mistakenly marked as spam or filtered.
