It is located in the Sepang District of Selangor, approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of downtown Kuala Lumpur and serves the city's greater conurbation .
It has colour-coded signage in Malay, English, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic and an automated people mover and travelators to allow easy movement in the airport.
