Kenya Television Network (KTN) is a Kenyan free-to-air television network that was launched in March 1990 by Jared Kangwana. [1] It is headquartered at Standard Group Centre, Nairobi . [ 2 ] It was the first free-to-air privately owned television network in Africa , and the first to break KBC's monopoly in Kenya.
Catherine Kasavuli in 2021. Catherine Kiza Kasavuli (22 February 1962 – 29 December 2022) [1] was a Kenyan journalist and news presenter. Kasavuli was the first female news anchor in Kenya and had previously worked in other television stations including the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Citizen Television, and Kenya Television Network (KTN).

Lulu Hassan's journalism career began as a radio host at Radio Salaam where she worked as a news presenter in English by 2008. Her break into television came when KTN cameraman informed her of vacancies due to two Swahili anchors going on maternity leave. She auditioned for the role and was ultimately hired by KTN Television as a news anchor. [5]
Kaikai holds a master's degree in International Journalism, from the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He initially worked for the Kenya Television Network until June 1999. Kaikai then spent 8 years working at the South African Broadcasting Corporation rising through the ranks from correspondent to Bureau Chief.
