Dickerson-Hill was an artist who painted in the Japanese brush technique sumi-e. She graduated from Cheyney State Teachers College in 1940 and taught elementary grades in the Philadelphia School District before becoming a full-time painter. Her mediums included watercolor, oil and acrylics. She als produced prints.
