Racine (/ r ə ˈ s iː n, r eɪ-/ rə-SEEN, ray-) [8] is a city in and the county seat of Racine County, Wisconsin, United States.It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River, situated 22 miles (35 km) south of Milwaukee and 60 miles (97 km) north of Chicago. [9]
Preservation Racine is a nonprofit organization established in 1973 to identify and actively encourage the preservation of buildings, sites, and districts in the Racine, Wisconsin area which have historical, architectural, and cultural value.
