Bergen County Technical Schools ( BCTS) is a county technical school district that serves as the vocational / technical education arm of all the school districts within the 70 municipalities in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The primary programs offered are the Bergen County Academies and Bergen County Technical High School.
The school participates as the host school / lead agency in a joint ice hockey team with New Milford High School and Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest. The co-op program operates under agreements scheduled to expire at the end of the 2023â24 school year. The girls cross country team won the Group III state championship in 1979.
The school is a part of the North Jersey Arts and Science Charter Schools. The network consists of Bergen-ASCS Elementary in Garfield, Bergen-ASCS Middle High in Hackensack, and Passaic-ASCS Elementary and Building #2 in Passaic. The school opened in September 2007 for grades Kâ5 and added a new grade every year until it reached the 12th grade.
