James Dennis Ellison (June 18, 1940 – March 2021) was an American white supremacist from San Antonio, Texas. In 1971, he founded the radical organization The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord (CSA). Ellison purchased a 250-acre (1.0 km 2) strip of land near Elijah, Missouri, and he constructed his compound on it.
John Marshall High School ( JMHS) is a free public secondary school in the San Antonio suburb of Leon Valley in northwest Bexar County named after Chief Justice John Marshall. The school serves students in grades 9 - 12, and is part of the Northside Independent School District, with admission based primarily on the locations of students' homes.
On July 25, 2020, Garrett Foster, a 28-year-old man, was murdered in Austin, Texas by 30-year old Daniel Perry. Perry had driven into a crowd of protesters during a Black Lives Matter protest following the May 2020 police murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 1970, Erevia left active service with a two-year reserve obligation. In 1972, he joined the Texas National Guard and went on to serve 17 years. Erevia worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2002 after thirty-two years of service. Erevia died on March 22, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 70.
