In the wake of the Civil War, the seminary suspended classes for several years. [14] With the financial help of several wealthy Baptists, including John D. Rockefeller and a group of Kentucky business leaders who promised to underwrite the construction of a new campus, [15] [16] the seminary relocated to Fifth Street and Broadway in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, in 1877.

Originally referred to as the IUPUI Student Center, the plans for a dedicated campus center were revealed in 1997 and titled “Project 2000.” [3] The project planned to house the new campus bookstore and various student-related administrative offices such as the bursar, registrar, and admission office in one central location.
Boyce College continues to share classrooms with Southern Seminary in W.O. Carver Hall, Rankin Hall, and Norton Hall. It also shares the Honeycutt Campus Center and the James P. Boyce Centennial Library with the seminary community. In 2016, Boyce College opened the Augustine Honors Collegium, an honors, seminar-based program.

Male was founded in 1856, being the oldest high school west of the Allegheny Mountains. [4] In 1861, Male was designated The University of Public Schools of Louisville and awarded bachelor's degrees until 1921, [4] after other high schools were established in the years following. the school was named Louisville Male High School due to a separate Louisville Girls High School. The Muhammad Ali Center is a non-profit museum and cultural center dedicated to boxer Muhammad Ali in Louisville, Kentucky. Ali, a native of Louisville, and his wife Lonnie Ali founded the museum in 2005. [1] [2] The six-story, 96,750 sq ft (8,988 m 2) museum is located in the city's West Main District.
