aquinas .me. Website. sta .hcdsb .org. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is a high school located in the western part of Old Oakville in Oakville, Ontario. St. Thomas Aquinas is a member of the Halton Catholic District School Board. There are over 1100 students attending the school in grades 9 through 12.
Oakville High School was built on the top of a hill. After sinkholes in the school's back lot were fixed, a football field was built on campus. The stadium would later be named "Roger E. Estes Field" after the Athletics Director. The school's colors are black and gold and the school mascot is the Tiger.
Academics. Academically, Abbey Park is among the strongest secondary schools in Ontario ranking 10th overall and first in Oakville. Abbey Park offers a variety of enrichment programs such as the Cluster Program for high achieving students, two Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs for business and the social sciences as well as an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for fashion.
The school itself also houses a library, two art rooms, two music rooms, an auto workshop, a construction workshop, a theater, a cafeteria, and numerous computer and science labs. History. Mehlville High School's Commons, pictured in May 2022. One of the school's most notable achievements was their Class 5A football State Championship in fall 1999. The team had an 13-1 overall record.
