Death. On August 2, 2006, at 9:15 p.m., Ramos died of heart failure caused by anorexia nervosa [2] while participating in a fashion show during the Montevideo Fashion Week. Ramos had felt ill after walking the runway and subsequently collapsed unconscious on her way back to the dressing room. She died at the age of 22.
Amateur career. Ramos began boxing at the age of 10 in Santa Ana, California. His first trainer was Manuel Garcia. After a few years, he moved on to train with Hector Lopez. He went on to compete as a top amateur, winning several national championships. As an amateur, he ended his career with a 120–16 record.
