Haripur ( Hindko, Urdu: ہری پور) is a historical city in Hazara Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. With Swabi and Buner to the west, some 65 km (40 mi) north of Islamabad and 35 km Khanpur Road Tofkian Valley Taxila and 35 km (22 mi) south of Abbottabad. It is in a hilly plain area at an altitude of 520 m (1,706 ft).
At the time of the 2017 census, the district had 161,839 households and a population of 1,003,031. Haripur had a sex ratio of 1010 females per 1000 males. 133,100 (13.29%) lived in urban areas. 24.91% of the population were under 10 years of age. 1,193 (0.12%) people in the district were from religious minorities, mainly Christians.
