CSS Color 5. The draft CSS Color 5 specification introduces syntax for mixing and manipulating existing colors, including: A color-mix() function for mixing colors; Relative color syntax for manipulating components of an existing color; Custom color spaces are also supported via ICC profiles. This allows the use of CMYK on web pages.
In computing, on the X Window System, X11 color names are represented in a simple text file, which maps certain strings to RGB color values. It was traditionally shipped with every X11 installation, hence the name, and is usually located in <X11root> /lib/X11/rgb.txt. The web colors list is descended from it but differs for certain color names.
CSS can define color, font, text alignment, size, borders, spacing, layout and many other typographic characteristics, and can do so independently for on-screen and printed views. CSS also defines non-visual styles, such as reading speed and emphasis for aural text readers.
