Al-Ahram ( Arabic: الأهرام; lit.'The Pyramids' ), founded on 5 August 1876, is the most widely circulating Egyptian daily newspaper, and the second oldest after al-Waqa'i`al-Masriya ( The Egyptian Events, founded 1828).
