New Port Richey is a city in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It is a suburban city included in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Pasco County is located on the west central coast of the U.S. state of Florida. According to the 2020 census, the population was 561,691. [1] Its county seat is Dade City, [2] and its largest city is Zephyrhills. The county is named after Samuel Pasco .
U.S. Highway 19 ( US 19) runs about 262 miles (422 km) along Florida 's west coast from an interchange with US 41 in Memphis, south of Tampa, and continues to the Georgia border north of Monticello. [2] [3]
Originating near Crews Lake, the river flows for over 23 miles (37 km) [4] to the south and west, flowing through the Starkey Wilderness Park before turning northwest through downtown New Port Richey, entering the Gulf of Mexico at Miller's Bayou. A Florida State Canoe Trail runs along the river.

Holiday is bordered on the south by the City of Tarpon Springs/Pinellas County Line, the Gulf of Mexico on the west (with access from the Anclote River Park, Gulf Park, and Key Vista Park in Holiday), the city of New Port Richey to the north, and Trinity to the east.
Trinity is a community just north of the Pinellas and Hillsborough county borders in West Pasco County. It is currently considered part of the New Port Richey area.
