Oakville High School was built on the top of a hill. After sinkholes in the school's back lot were fixed, a football field was built on campus. The stadium would later be named "Roger E. Estes Field" after the Athletics Director. The school's colors are black and gold and the school mascot is the Tiger.

Christie was activated to play on July 7, 2007 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. On March 5, 2008 Christie retired from professional football.
