The Alcan–Beaver Creek Border Crossing ( French: Poste frontalier d'Alcan–Beaver Creek) is a border crossing point between the United States and Canada. It is located on the historic Alaska Highway, which was built during World War II for the purpose of providing a road connection between the contiguous United States and Alaska through Canada.
The company was founded in 1982 as the Great Canadian Casino Company. It initially operated charity casinos and a casino at Vancouver's Pacific National Exhibition. In 1986, it opened its first permanent casino in Vancouver. It held an IPO on the TSX Venture Exchange in 1992, and renamed itself the Great Canadian Gaming Company in 1997.

Yukon (formerly called the Yukon Territory and referred to as the Yukon) [8] is the smallest and westernmost of Canada's three territories. It is the third-least populated province or territory in Canada, with a population of 45,148 as of 2023. However, Whitehorse, the territorial capital, is the largest settlement in any of the three territories.
The next important event in Yukon's history was the construction of the Alaska Highway during the Second World War, which, after its badly needed reconstruction by the Canadian Government in the late 1940s, opened up the territory to road traffic. The Alaska Highway has played an extremely important role in the acculturation of the people.
