The Hong Kong Science Park ( HKSTP; Chinese: 香港科學園) is a science park in Pak Shek Kok, New Territories, Hong Kong. It sits on the Tolo Harbour waterfront, near the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the early 1990s large urbanization in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and other Southeast Asia countries brought about a large housing price appreciation. Asia attracted global economic interest up until the economic crash of 1997. A decade later, the Asian economy has been stabilized, and has allowed the property market to advance.
Responsibilities. HKSTP manages facilities and provides value-added services for the technology, research and development sector in Hong Kong.
