This is a list of high schools in the state of Montana. The Montana High School Association is the governing body of high school athletics. Schools are assigned a class to determine athletic competitions.
Oakville High School was built on the top of a hill. After sinkholes in the school's back lot were fixed, a football field was built on campus. The stadium would later be named "Roger E. Estes Field" after the Athletics Director. [3] The school's colors are black and gold and the school mascot is the Tiger.
Dennis Parman serves as superintendent until 2009, when he became the deputy superintendent of the Montana Office of Public Instruction. David Mahon replaced him. In 2010 Mahon resigned and the board accepted his resignation. In August 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Montana, the district chose to keep masks optional.

In 1959 Thomas J. Corbett, previously the superintendent of the school district of Townsend, Montana, became the superintendent of Harlowton. [4] Previously the district required families of students who did not live in the school district to pay tuition money to the district, but by 1975 the district no longer charged tuition. [5]
