The University of Kentucky ( UK, UKY, or U of K) is a public land-grant research university in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 1865 by John Bryan Bowman as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Kentucky, [9] the university is one of the state's two land-grant universities (the other being Kentucky State University ).

Kentucky Proud Park is a baseball stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.It is the home field of the University of Kentucky Wildcats college baseball team. Opened in 2018, with the Wildcats playing their first season in the stadium in 2019, it has a permanent capacity of 2,500, with grass berm seating adding more than 1,500 to the total capacity.
