The air traffic service in the UK experienced significant delays after a technical issue with automated flight plan processing. The fault was triggered at 08:32 by a valid (but unusual) flight plan. At about 12:30 the 4 hour buffer of processed plans expired, and manual processing of flight plans began with reduced capacity.
