Geauga County (/ dʒiˈɔːɡə / jee-AW-gə) is a county located in the northeast portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 95,397. [3] The county seat and largest city is Chardon. [4] The county is named for an Onondaga or Seneca language word meaning ' raccoon ', [5] originally the name of the Grand River.
