Upper Lake Mary is the largest of Flagstaff's twin lakes. This long, narrow reservoir is especially popular with power boaters and water skiers because there is no motor size limit on it. But it's also popular with those who prefer people-power or windpower over horsepower.

Lakeview Campground is a tent camper’s paradise with its terraced, hillside camp sites creatively tucked in amongst an open old growth stand of ponderosa pine. With all the easy forest and lake access, this is a also great place for wildlife watchers.
Location: 13 miles southeast of Flagstaff on paved roads. Elevation is 7,000 feet. GPS (Narrows boat launch, Map): 35°03'52.1"N 111°30'13.0"W. Access: Drive 13 miles south from Flagstaff on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road). The picnic area is on the west side of the road in a grove of trees.
This picnic area is conveniently close to Flagstaff and offers access to a number of different areas where you can enjoy your favorite outdoor recreation. When Lower Lake Mary has water in it, it's a popular place to fish for catfish and trout, depending on which has been stocked most recently.
Pine Grove Campground is spread out through a cool stand of pines bordered by high country meadows. Access to the campground is via a short spur off Lake Mary Road. Supplies are available at convenience stores along the highway and in Flagstaff, about 20 miles away.
Canyon Vista Campground is located near Walnut Canyon and Lower Lake Mary. This area consists of ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, aspen and oak, which offer good photo opportunities, interesting geology and views of the San Francisco Peaks.
Here's a trail just a few minutes outside Flagstaff that offers good photo opportunities, interesting geology, great views, and access to a longer trail that stretches all the way across Arizona.
