Established in 1975, Metro Dance Center has taught thousands of students in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. We offer both recreational and competitive dancing in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical styles for students age 18 months-adult.

These classes are designed for 5-18 year olds and are separated by age and skill level. In the classes the dancers work on their flexibility, learn and improve their skills in tap, ballet and jazz, and learn combinations to improve their performance abilities.

Parent/Child Music & Movement: This class is designed for children from 18 months to 3 years to participate in with a parent or caregiver. This 30 minute class includes a variety of fun games to help students learn fundamental dance skills.
Zoey Malmstedt is a choreographer and dance instructor who is well-versed in many styles of dance including tap, lyrical, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She grew up in competitive dance at studios in the Twin Cities, dancing on teams as well as assisting and teaching, until she graduated in 2021.
He has been teaching ballet in the Twin Cities since 2003 and has been a member of the teaching staff at Metro Dance since 2023. Ted continue to share his love and excitement for ballet with each and every student.
