In 2004, WFXB entered into a news share agreement with CBS affiliate WBTW (channel 13) for the production of a 35-minute 10 p.m. newscast on weeknights. On December 1, 2011, WBTW began producing an hour-long newscast for WFXB airing on weekday mornings at 7 a.m. titled Fox Morning News. That has since been expanded to two hours.

Early career and ABC. From August 1999 to 2001, Sy was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WBTW in Florence, South Carolina.  In September 2001, she joined WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia, as a military reporter. Her reporting from Iraq while embedded in 2003 during the Iraq War led to her hiring by ABC News that year. 
We Build the Wall is an organization that solicited donations to build private sections of the wall along the Mexico–U.S. border. It started as a GoFundMe campaign by United States Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage in December 2018.  Kolfage announced the formation of a 501 (c) (4) non-profit organization in January 2019.
